Edward «Kid» Ory var den største trombonisten i de tidlige årene av Jazz. Fra 1912 til 1919 ledet han et av de mest populære bandene i New Orleans som inneholdt mange av de store musikere som kom til å definere Hot Jazz stilen. King Oliver, Louis Armstrong og Jimmie Noone var noen. I 1919 flyttet han til California og startet en ny gruppe under navnet Kid Ory's Creole Orchestra før han flyttet til Chicago og bidro til å spre Dixieland til et bredere publikum sammen med King Oliver, Louis Armstrong og hans Hot Five og Hot Seven. Som sidemusiker til Armstrong, skrev Ory hit'en ""Muskrat Ramble"".

HAAKON ESPLO (1970) kommer fra Kolbotn i Oppegård kommune. Han er utdannet ved Norges Musikkhøgskole som blokkfløytist og har jobbet som musiker, undervist og dirigert skole- og voksenkorps flere steder. Esplo behersker en rekke instrumenter og har komponert og arrangert musikk i mange år med særlig hovedvekt på korpsbesetningen.

Edward ""Kid"" Ory was one of the greatest trombonists in the early years of jazz. From 1912 to 1919 he leaded of one of the most popular bands in New Orleans which eventually defined the ""Hot Jazz""-style. king Oliver, Louis Armstrong and Jimmie Noone was one of many. He moved to California in 1919, and started a new group under the name Kid Ory's Creole Orchestra before he moved to Chicago and contributed to the spreading of Dixieland music to a wider audience together with King Oliver, Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five and Hot Seven. As a co-musician with Armstrong, Ory wrote the hit ""Muskrat Ramble"".

HAAKON ESPLO (1970) is from a small place near Oslo named Kolbotn in the county of Oppegård. He has a bacheler from The Norwegian Academy of Music and his main instument is recorder (blockflöte). He has been working as a musician, teacher and a conductor for both young- and adult bands. Esplo masters several instruments and has been composing and arranging music for many years.
