Fredrik Sixten (b. 1962) is one of the leading Swedish composers of his
generation. He studied composition with Sven-David Sandström at the
Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Before becoming a full-time
composer, he worked as a cathedral organist in Sweden and Norway. He is
known internationally for his many sacred choral works for unaccompanied
voices or with orchestra.
